Algoma saw a big halftime lead slip away before rallying for a 48-46 win at Gibraltar on Friday. The Wolves (6-3, 6-6) took a 32-18 lead into the half as Makayla Guilette scored 22 points. But the Vikings (6-4, 8-5) started the second half on a 21-8 run and tied the game at 37-37 with 7:14 to play on free throws from Karlee Kita and took their first lead a minute later on a Raina Haleen basket. The Vikings would eventually lead 43-40 before the Wolves answered with a long two point jumper from Sydney Zimmerman and took the lead for good with 2:13 to play on a three pointer from Jordan Jossie. Guilette finished with 22 points to lead the Wolves and Mikayla Haack added 11 points, all in the second half. Haleen finished with 19 points to lead the Vikings while Payton Pluff added 12. Gibraltar will host Coleman on Saturday afternoon.
