The Gibraltar/Sevastopol soccer team beat Roncalli 3-2 in Manitowoc on Tuesday. The deciding goal was scored when Xavier Martinez scraped for a loose ball and hit a shot from the right side about 18 yards out past the goalie on the near post. Andrew Peot and Alex Lautenbach also scored for the Vikings and coach Joe Warner added that goalie Sam Potier had some “outstanding saves”.
Sturgeon Bay stayed undefeated in league play with a 4-2 win at Saint Mary Central. Reid Stevenson scored twice for the Clippers while Jesse Mejia and Zach Owens added goals. The Zephyrs had only three shots on goal.
NEW Lutheran beat Algoma 5-1.
