Valders opened the game with back-to-back three pointers by Alex Scheuler and Kyle Tuma and built an early double digit lead and beat Southern Door, 81-63, in a boys WIAA Division 3 regional final at Valders on Saturday Night. The Eagles (20-5) erupted for 40 points in the second half but could not slow down the Vikings (21-3) as they had five players finish in double figures as Schueler finished with 21 and Tuma added 17. Nick LeCaptain led the Eagles with 18 points, Derik LeCaptain added 17 and Mitchell Gerend 15. Valders will take on Wrightstown in the sectional semi-finals at Menasha on Thursday.
