Vikings Get First Win on Emotional Night

The Gibraltar football team picked up their first win of the season as they beat Sevastopol 20-13 on Homecoming Night in Fish Creek.  The Vikings lead 14-0 at the half as Bjorn Johnson had a 1 yard td run and Chris Anderson returned an interception 45 yards for another score.  Willie Franke’s 35 yard interception return for a td in the third quarter pushed the Vikings (1-5) lead to 20-0.  The Pioneers (1-5) scored twice in the fourth quarter when Tony Bley rushed for a 5 yard td and threw 87 yards to Bryce Birmingham for another score.  Austin Kissel added an interception and Logan Ferrie recovered a fumble for Gibraltar while Noel Farber had two interceptions for the Sevastopol defense.
