The Gibraltar girls basketball team won their seventh straight game as they beat Kewaunee 44-35 on Thursday Night in Fish Creek. It’s the first time the Vikings (8-6) have had a winning conference record and they also set a school record for wins (15-6). The Vikings opened the game on a 14-0 run only to see the Storm close to within 18-13 at halftime and 20-18 early in the 3rd quarter. But Gibraltar regained control with a 12-2 run and Kewaunee would get no closer than 8 the rest of the game. Makenna Ash scored 19 points and Helen Hecht added 13 to lead Gibraltar while Kewaunee (8-6, 9-13) were led by Amanda Bultman’s 13 points.
