Vikings beat Pioneers

The Gibraltar boys basketball team beat Sevastopol, 79-63, on Saturday Night in Institute. The Vikings (2-4, 2-6) closed the first half on a 25-11 run as the Pioneers were never closer than 10 points in the second half. Sam Lindenberg finished with a game high 20 points while Luke Steebs added 18 and Marcus Reinhardt added 12 as Gibraltar snapped a five game losing streak. Robby Pollman scored 18 points, Cole Dvorak added 14, Brent Haberli 11 and Josh Pfleiger 10 for the Pioneers (1-4, 3-6).

Southern Door’s Grant Englebert placed second and Griffin Slezewski third as the Eagles were at the Cutler Classic in New London.

Luxemburg-Casco won the Port Washington Quad with 175.5 points while Janesville Craig was second and Ashwaubenon third. Luke Shefchik, Reece Worachek and Kyle Kroll placed 1st for the Spartans while Lucas Joniaux placed second and Ryan Routhieaux was third.
