Tritons Rally for Win

The Southern Door softball team had a 5-0 lead through five innings but Notre Dame rallied in the late innings to eventually win, 6-5, in 9 innings at Ted Fritsch Park in Green Bay on Tuesday. The Eagles quick start was fueled by Tori Marchant, who drew a bases loaded walk and Colbi Jacquet added a bases clearing bloop single. Southern Door would make it 5-0 when Jacquet was hit by a pitch in the 3rd inning. The Tritons would tie the game in the 7th on an RBI single from winning pitcher Jaqueline Zacharias and she added the walk off double in the 9th. Melanie Watters and Nicole Norton had two hits each for Southern Door, Watters threw five shutout innings and Norton took the loss in relief.
