Ahnapee beat Wrightstown, 8-3, in an American Legion baseball game in Algoma on Monday. The Trailblazers (10-6) took the lead in the bottom of the first inning on a Spencer Krause RBI sacrifice fly. The Rockets went ahead 2-1 in the top of the third on a Riley Leick home run only to see Ahnapee take the lead for good in the bottom of the inning on a bases loaded walk by Charlie Neinas. Jack Peterson (3 hits) added to the lead with a solo home run in the 4th and the Trailblazers added 4 runs in the 6th as Carson Leist and Jaden Diller hit RBI doubles. Leist allowed one run in three innings of relief for the win. Ahnapee will open the Class AA regional vs Kewaunee County on Friday at Klipstine Park in Ashwaubenon on WDOR. (2:30)
