The Ahnapee American Legion baseball team opened their season with a 9-0 win over Northern Door at the Sevastopol Town Park in Institute on Sunday Night. The Trailblazers jumped out to a 5-0 after two innings and were never threatened. Tory Jandrin (5IP) and Kordell Draves (2IP) combined on a three hit shutout for Ahnapee. Anthony Moore had three hits and a pair of RBI’s and Mike Larsen added two hits and three RBI’s to fuel the Trailblazers attack while Austen Dart added two hits and Jeffrey Alberts singled and scored twice. Jared Pfleiger, Quin Schram and Lucas Stenzil singled for the Chiefs. Ahnapee will play at Mishicot on Monday while Northern Door travels to Denmark on Tuesday.
