The Ahnapee American Legion baseball team lost their opening game at the Class AA regional in Luxemburg on Thursday. Ashwaubenon beat the Trailblazers, 6-5, sending Ahnapee to an elimination game this afternoon. Ahnapee took the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning, but Ashwaubenon answered with four runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Jaeger Brusky had four hits and a pair of RBI’s to lead Ahnapee, while Jared Van Bramer, Anthony Moore and Adam Gutschow (2 doubles/2 RBI) all had two hits. Nick Brauer pitched a complete game for Ashwaubenon and both teams finished with 13 hits. Ahnapee will play Pulaski at 3:00 this afternoon at Fred Yagodinski Field in Luxemburg.
