Thunderhill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay recently announced that the 2012 season will begin on Saturday, May 26th. With the opener just over two weeks away, track promoter Bryan “Woody” Wodack has been busy getting the behind the scenes work done. Because of the Memorial Day Weekend opener, there will be only 14 weeks of racing instead of the usual 19 weeks. Defending champions from 2011 are Jay Mattias (Modifieds), Troy Muench (Stock Cars), Brad Lautenbach (Northern Sport Mods), Brandon Peterson (Hobby Stocks), Anthony Everard (Street Stocks) and Calvin Stueck (Four Cylinders).
