Four members of the Lakeland College football team received first team recognition and a total of 14 Muskie players received honors as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its postseason awards recently. Gibraltar’s Trevor Tanck was named to the all-NACC first team for the second straight year. Tanck, a defensive lineman, was one of the two most productive players on a Lakeland defense that statistically was the best in the NACC and one of the best in NCAA Division III. Tanck finished second in the conference with 15.5 tackles for loss and fourth in sacks (six). The honors come after a season in which the Muskies finished in a three-way tie for the NACC title with a 5-1 league mark (6-4 overall).
Tanck had been selected to play in the D3 Senior Classic Scout Bowl on December 20th at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
