Egg Harbor slipped by Sister Bay, 4-3. With the win Egg Harbor (12-1) claims its second straight regular season title. It is the first time ever that the Indians have won back-to-back regular season titles and they have won three of the last four. Riley Spetz (11-0) went the distance for the win. Justin Hartel hit a solo homer for Sister Bay (9-4). Wil Henrickson (4-1) took the loss.
Institute won at Maplewood, 15-6. Cody Giesseman had four hits including a pair of homers to lead Institutte (4-9). Giesseman drove in six runs. Kirk Schleicher also homered and Matt Petersilka and Kyle Volkman each had three hits for the Cubs. Volkman (3-4) went the first six for the win. Josh Paul pitched the final three innings for his first save. Allan Karas (0-1) took the loss for Maplewood (2-11).
Kolberg shutout Washington Island, 7-0. Rob Raye and Derek Raye both homered for Kolberg (9-4). Jeff Sperber (5-0) tossed a complete game shutout, holding Washington Island to six hits. Mark Woerfel (1-2) took the loss for Washington Island (6-7).
West Jacksonport beat Baileys Harbor, 16-5. Mike Stoneman, Ryan Tanck and Steve Jilot all homered for West Jacksonport (6-7). Tanck and Jilot each had three hits. Woody Schartner (4-5) pitched the first seven innings for the win. Austin Rohe homered for Baileys Harbor (4-9). Brett Anschutz (4-5) took the loss.
