Kolberg doubled up Maplewood Sunday, 14-7. The Braves sent twelve batters to the plate in the first inning, scoring seven times. They added four more runs in the second for an 11-0 lead. Bob Tenor doubled and homered and drove in five runs. Tenor, Greg Klaubauf, Travis LeRoy, Adam Bretl all had three hits and Derek Raye also hit a home run for Kolberg (6-4). Jeff Sperber (3-0) pitched the first six for the win. Adam Bretl worked the last three for the save. Mickey Le had four hits to lead Maplewood (2-8). Mark Villers (0-3) took the loss.
Institute won at Washington Island, 7-3. Kyle Volkman went the distance for the win. Volkman (2-5) struck out 16. Danny Allen and Jason Annis both homered for Institute (3-7). Annis and Cody Giesseman each had two hits. Aaron Delorit homered twice for Washington Island (5-5). Mark Woerfel (0-1) pitched the first four and took the loss.
And Sister Bay beat West Jacksonport, 17-8. Sister Bay (7-3) led 17-0 after three innings and then held off West Jacksonport. Al Higgenbotham and Jon Woerfel both homered for Sister Bay. Higgenbotham and Stewart Larsen each had three hits. Justin Hartel (2-0) worked the first eight for the win. Steve Jilot, Zac DeFere and Davis Stoffel all hit home runs for West Jacksonport (4-6). Woody Schartner had four hits in the loss. Alec Schartner (0-2) pitched the first three and took the loss.
