The Sturgeon Bay 11 year-old Cal Ripken All-Star baseball team will begin play at the Ohio Valley Regional in Logansport, Indiana on Thursday. Sturgeon Bay qualified for the tournament by finishing 2nd at the Wisconsin State Tournament in Dodgeville last week. Opening ceremonies will be held on Wednesday. Sturgeon Bay will have three games in pool play. Their first game will be against Barren County, Kentucky at 1:30 on Thursday and they play Crown Point, Indiana at 5:30 Thursday and South Lexington, Kentucky at 2:00 on Friday. At the completion of pool play, all 12 teams will be seeded 1-12 and advance to a 12 team, single elimination bracket beginning Saturday morning.
