The Sturgeon Bay Legion team beat Denmark 9-7 on Wednesday Night at Memorial Field. The Bays took advantage of four Denmark errors in the first innings and led 7-0 after two innings and then held off Denmark to wrap up FRV East Division play with an (8-4) record. Joey Fuerst had 2 hits and three RBI’s and Jason Lindemann 2 hits and drove in a pair. David Van Dreese added 2 hits and Riley Schartner homered. Mitchel Neubauer struck out 6 in 3.2 innings of relief for the win. Marcus LaMarche had 3 hits for Denmark while Kendall Meyer, Tanner Umentum and Jack Collins all had 2 hits. Sturgeon Bay will host the Appleton Doubledays at Noon on Saturday.
