The Sturgeon Bay Legion team was eliminated at the Class AA State Tournament in Onalaska Monday afternoon. The Bays lost to the host team Onalaska 5 – 2. Sturgeon Bay was held hitless until the bottom of the third inning & only had 4 hits in the game. The Bays made it a 3-2 game in the 6th inning, but Onalaska scored 2 insurance runs in the top of the 7th to put the game out of reach. Mitchell Neubauer took the loss for Sturgeon Bay going the first 5 innings & allowing 3 runs, David Van Dreese finished the game for the Bays, he allowed 2 runs. The Bays finish the season with a(14-13) record, they went (1-2) at the state tournament.
