The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastic Team will be competing at the YMCA Gymnastic Nationals June 28-July1. The event will be taking place in downtown Milwaukee at the Frontier Airlines Convention Center in cooperation with Milwaukee Summerfest Fest Festivities.
Girls must score a qualifying score throughout the competitive season to qualify. 16 of the 19 Striver Gymnasts that qualified for the National Meet while compete.
Each level of competion medals the top six girls in each event. Returning to Nationals for a repeat visit are Abby Thiede, Sophia Pollman, Ally Dickson, Ellie Helm, Jenna Seiler, Jackie Mosgaller,and Bobbi Joe Laurent. The Strivers Team is coached by Nikki Pollman and her staff, Amy Gamble, Mikki Rankin, Gerritt DeJonge and Tom Utzinger.
