Strivers Gymnastics Shine in Manitowoc

The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastic Team capped off last weekends tournament with fantastic results. The Team competed in the Luau Meet at the Manitowoc YMCA. There were gymnasts present from 16 YMCA’s from across the State.

Emily Ulberg- 1st on floor & vault, 2nd on bars 3rd on beam– 1st All Around
Alexis McCarthy- 1st on bars, 2nd on beam & floor– 1st All Around
Breanna Kunz- 2nd on vault, 4th on floor– 5th All Around

Miah Elyiha- 3rd on floor, 4th on beam.

Abby Hocevar 2nd on floor

Katie Peot 2nd on floor.

 **Level 3 TEAM WON the meet with a score of 144.4

Level 4’s
Alexa Nelson- 1st Floor, 1st Vault, 1st Beam, 1st Bars–1st All Around
Katie Frank- 3rd Floor, 1st Vault, 6th Beam, 4th Bars, 3rd All Around

Sophia Pollman- 3rd on vault and 5th on beam

Ellie Helm- 1st on bars, 2nd on beam and floor– 1st All Around

Demi Ploor- 1st on vault

Kayla Counard- 2nd on floor

**XCel Platinum TEAM placed 2nd with a score of 66.55

Allyson Dickson- 1st on vault, 2nd on floor, 6th on beam-  3rd All Around

Jackie Mosgaller- 5th on vault, beam, bars– 5th All Around

Abby Thiede- 2nd on vault 4th on floor.

Within each level level of gymnastics the gymnasts are awarded medals within age brackets.

The Door County YMCA will be the host of the 2013 YMCA State Gymnastic Tournament. The tournament will be held March 15-17. The boys competition will be held on Friday evening at the Door County YMCA. The girls competition will run all day Saturday and Sunday at Sturgeon Bay High School and T.J. Walker Middle School.
