The Kewaunee girls basketball team tipped off the season with a 60-46 win at Denmark on Tuesday Night. The Storm recovered from an early 10-3 deficit with a 15-4 run that gave them their first lead of the night. Kewaunee had a 36-24 lead at the half and stretched the lead to a game high 18 point advantage early in the second half. Denmark would narrow a 44-26 deficit to 46-40 but the Storm regained control to defeat the Vikings for the second straight season. Mackenzie Tlachac finished with a game high 28 to lead Kewaunee while Katie Metzler, Hailey Gaedtke and Toni Bortolini all scored 8 points each. Abby Maricque lead Denmark with 21 points.
