The Luxemburg-Casco softball team beat Sturgeon Bay 17-2 in 5 innings at PBI Field on Friday. The Clippers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Alise Bosman and Jackie Herlache both singled and scored and Paige Nelson had an RBI single. But the Spartans roared back with 5 runs on 5 hits in the 3rd inning and another 12 runs on 5 hits in the 4th inning. Sara Simonar pitched L-C to victory while Renee Kinnard had three hits including a home run and Lexi Kinnard, Cassie Kinnard, Dawn Deterville and Marissa Rukamp all had two hits. L-C will host Seymour in a Bay Conference doubleheader today.
