The Southern Door baseball team won at Oconto Thursday afternoon, 4-3 and in the process the Eagles move into sole possession of second place in the Packerland Conference. The Eagles improves to 10-3 in conference play and trail Kewaunee by one game with a match up between the two teams scheduled for Tuesday at Southern Door. Trailing by one in the top of the sixth, both Trevor Hawkey and River Pawelski scored on a chopper in front of the plate by Mitchell Gerend. Mitchel Neuabuer went the distance for the win. He allowed three runs on five hits and recorded 10 strikeouts. Neubauer had two hits to lead Southern Door while Tory Jandrin added an RBI double.
