The West De Pere softball team scored seven unanswered runs as they beat Southern Door in a Division 2 sectional semifinal Monday, 8-1. Englebert singled and scored on a double by Rachel Andres. Katie Miller, Acacia Tupa and Dantoin all added singles. Dantoin took the loss as Southern Door finishes the season with a record of 20-3. West De Pere will play Ripon in the sectional finals Thursday at 4:30 PM at Little Chute.
Packerland Conference Player of the Year, Courtney Dart, tossed a one-hit shutout as Algoma beat Winnebago Lutheran, 6-0 in a Division 3 sectional semifinal Monday. The Wolves advance to Thursday’s sectional final at Horicon. Algoma will take on Horicon at 5 PM on 93.9 FM WDOR and www.wdor.com. Horicon beat Kenosha Saint Joseph Monday, 8-0.
