Sturgeon Bay beat Algoma 7-3 in their first game of the season on Thursday. Sean Sanitto scored three goals, Ben Felhofer two to lead the Sturgeon Bay attack. Thomas Stasiak and Reid Stevenson also had goals while Will Kitchens, Zack Owens, Brady Lenius and Felhofer all had assists. Soren Paape, Rodrigo Arvizu and Austin Walter had goals for the Wolves.
Sturgeon Bay plays at Saint Mary Central on Monday, Algoma won’t play again until September 1st.
