Sister Bay Wins Two To Force Tie Atop DCL Standings

Sister Bay won a pair of Door County League games Sunday to tie Egg Harbor atop the regular season standings.  Kolberg earned a win over Baileys Harbor.  Here is a recap of Sunday’s games:

Sister Bay beat Institute, 6-0.  Winning pitcher Ryan Demmin (5-1) tossed a one-hit shutout with 18 strikeouts.  Sister Bay (11-2) scored five of their six runs in the fifth inning.  Dusty Johnson had four hits and Sam Forkert added two.  Josh Paul (1-3) took the loss for Institute (4-10).

Kolberg beat Baileys Harbor, 13-0.  Kolberg (10-3) scored a run in the first and fifth innings and then put the game out of reach with seven in the sixth.  Austin Rohe had four hits while Eric Lardinois, Nick LeCaptain, Riley Cordier and Alex Bailey all had two.  Rohe (1-0) picked up the win.  John Kordon (0-3) took the loss for Baileys Harbor (0-14).

Sister Bay beat Kolberg, 4-0.  Sam Forkert (7-1) tossed a complete game shutout for the win.  Forkert had two hits and drove in two runs for Sister Bay (12-2).  Jesse Miller had two hits for Kolberg (10-4).  Riley Cordier (6-4) took the loss.
