Gibraltar finished in 6th at the Division 3 Sectional and Luxemburg-Casco was 10th at the Division 2 Sectionals on Tuesday. No area golfers qualified for the State Meet at University Ridge in Madison.
Gibraltar
The Vikings shot a 380 to finish in 6th place at FoxFire Golf Club in Waupaca. Grant Heiman shot an 86 and finished in 9th place and Sam Higgenbotham’s 93 was 18th best to lead Gibraltar while Logan Ferrie carded a 100 and Ethan Woulette a 101. Sevastopol’s Sam Potier finished in 17th place with a 92 and Bryce Birmingham was 18th with a 93. Weyauwga-Fremont, Iola-Scandinavia and Pacelli were the top three teams.
Luxemburg-Casco
The Spartans shot a 384 to finish in 10 place at Thornberry Creek in Oneida. David Spengler shot a 79 to lead L-C but lost a playoff with Chris Colla of Winnebago Lutheran and failed to qualify for the State Meet. Levi Dax shot a 94 while Michael Spengler shot a 104 and Derek Kollross carded at 107. Sturgeon Bay’s Sean Hogan shot a 97 and finished in 46th place. Notre Dame, Berlin and and Winnebago Lutheran were the top three teams.
