SD Boys Beat Huskies

Southern Door rallied from a 15 point second half deficit to force overtime and eventually defeat New Holstein, 58-54, on Saturday Night.  The Eagles (19-4) battling through first half foul trouble, and found themselves behind 34-19 in the second half before Kyle Daoust and Derik LeCaptain got the Eagles going offensively.  Daoust finished with 21 points and LeCaptain, after a scoreless first half because of two fouls in the first two minutes, finished with 20 points.  Southern Door took their first lead with :38 seconds to play on a basket by Daoust but the Huskies answered on a basket by Luke Bufton.  The Eagles forced overtime when a Sam Gerend offensive rebound led to a game tying free throw with :16 seconds to play.  Southern Door would score the first points of the overtime session with less than a minute to play on free throws from LeCaptain, followed by two from Daoust and finally put the game away with two Max Pierre free throws with .02 seconds to play.  Southern Door will play Valders at Ashwaubenon on Thursday Night on 93.9FM / wdor.com
