Skyler Schopf and Nick Kita have been chosen by the South team coaches to play in the 2014 8-Man All-Star Football game. They arrived in Madison on Sunday evening to begin a week of practice to prepare for the Friday evening game.
Schopf played Guard and Defensive End and finished the season with 94 tackles and 15 sacks with a total sack loss of 113 yards. Kita played Quarterback and Linebacker finishing the season with 2,647 passing yards and 45 touchdowns and added 485 rushing yards and an additional 12 touchdowns.
Schopf and Kita were both all-conference selections for Gibraltar in the Great 8 North Conference. They finished with an overall record of 9-1 and played in the WIAA 8-Man Jamboree. The Vikings posted a 46-38 victory over Luck on November 2 at Schofield DC Everest.
The game will be held at 7pm on Friday, July 18, in Breitenbach Stadium at Middleton High School.
