Record Setting Year for K/D Salmon Tournament

The official winner of the 34th Annual Kewaunee/Door County salmon tournament is Jason Worden of Port Edwards.  He weighed a 35.46 pound chinook in Baileys Harbor on the opening day of the nine day fishing tournament and claimed the top prize of $10,000 cash plus other prizes.  Andy Lange of Marinette finished in second place and won $2,000 by weighing a 30.58 pound chinook in Algoma on July 26th and third place went to Cameron Commerford of Surtell, MN as he weighed a 29.89 pound fish in Kewaunee on July 23rd.  The K/D tournament committee decided to pay down 177 places- meaning any fisherman weighing a fish bigger than 22.58 pounds collected at least $50 in prize money.  A record 3,049 tickets were sold in 2016 and official results can be found here.
