Pioneers Win Regional Opener

The Sevastopol girls basketball team won their first playoff game in fourteen years after a 54-31 win over Gibraltar in a WIAA Division 4 game at Institute. The Pioneers (8-9) never trailed as the set the tone early with great defense and three early three pointers from freshman Libby Ash. Zoe Kuehn finished with 15 points while Bailey Rikkola added 12 and Ash 11 for the Pioneers. The Vikings (4-9) were led by Karlee Kita, Sage Krause and Maggie Maroney with 8 points each. Sevastopol will play at Mishicot (14-2) on Friday.
