The Sevastopol softball team scored four runs in the top of the 8th inning to beat Southern Door, 11-7, on Tuesday. The Pioneers scored 3 runs in the third inning as Bailey and Naomi Rikkola had RBI singles and 4 more in the 4th inning highlighted by a Kayla Ranly bases clearing double. The Eagles battled back to even as Bella Price had an RBI double in the 4th, Sophia Counard hit an RBI triple and Callie Miller added an RBI single in the 5th and Chloe Lustilla, Ashlynn Delfosse and Miller had hits with two outs in the bottom of the 7th to make it 7-7. The Pioneers took the lead for good on a two out RBI single from Jolene Luedtke and Addison Schauske blasted a three run home run to complete the scoring. Libby Ash picked up the win in relief and added 2 hits.
The Eagles were leading the second game of the doubleheader 10-4 when suspended by darkness in the bottom of the 5th inning and will be completed on Tuesday, April 18th at 4:00pm.
Kewaunee beat Sturgeon Bay 15-0 and 10-0.
