Packerland Baseball/Softball Results

The Sturgeon Bay baseball team opened the 2012 season with a 11-4 win over Algoma at Perry Field on Monday.  The Clippers led 10-0 after scoring 6 runs in the top of the third inning.  Ben Felhofer, David Van Dreese and Riley Cordier had two hits for Sturgeon Bay.  Ethan Ray had two hits for the Wolves.

Gibraltar beat NEW Lutheran 4-0 in Fish Creek.  Matt Hecht pitched five shutout innings for the Vikings with Tanner Biwer working the final two.  Griffin Cole had two hits and scored two runs while Nick Kita also scored twice.

The Algoma softball team opened their season with a 7-3 win over Sturgeon Bay at PBI Field.  Courtney Dart pitched the win for the Wolves while Meg Ryan homered and Amanda Mura walked four times.

Gibraltar beat NEW Lutheran 31-3.  Freshman Helen Hecht was the winning pitcher for the Vikings.

Oconto improved to (3-0) on the season with a 10-2 win over Sevastopol.

The Kewaunee at Southern Door game that was scheduled to be played on Monday has been rescheduled for April 13th.
