The Northern Door Chiefs were eliminated at the American Legion Class A state baseball tournament Thursday afternoon. The host team Bruce knocked the Chiefs out of the tournament with a 9-5 victory. The game was tied at 5 into the third inning when a grand slam by Bruce provided the margin of victory. Matt Hecht took the loss in relief going the final 6.2 innings. Griffin Cole, Tanner Biwer & Alan Karas all had two hits for Northern Door. The Chiefs went (0-2) in the tournament.
