FRV East Division Champion Northern Door beat Sturgeon Bay 9-6 at Memorial Field on Monday Night. The Chiefs led 6-2 to the bottom of the 6th inning, only to see the Bays score four runs to tie the game after 6 innings. But Northern Door answered with 3 runs in the top of the 7th for the win. Matt Petersilka hit a two run double down the right field line for an 8-6 lead, and the Chiefs got another run on a RBI single from Tanner Biwer. Petersilka, the third of four Northern Door pitchers gets the win, with Riley Spetz getting the save. Griffin Cole, Tanner Biwer and Riley Spetz all had 2 hits for Northern Door (12-0). Northern Door begins regional play on Thursday night vs Peshtigo at Institute, Sturgeon Bay plays Seymour Friday afternoon in Luxemburg.
