McCambridge and Gallardo-Ibarra win State Gold

Makiala McCambridge (Level 6) and Anna Gallardo-Ibarra (Excel Silver) captured state titles this past weekend at the YMCA Gymnastics State Meet in La Crosse.  McCambridge also captured silver in the all around and bronze on beam. Gallardo-Ibarra came home with silver in the all around and bronze on vault. The Striver Team returned from La Crosse with 33 individual medals and a fourth place team trophy for the Excel Silvers.

Miya Eliyha (Level 8) placed fourth on floor and beam.
Maddie Barker (Level 6) placed fifth on vault, eighth on bars.
Jozlynn Burlo (Excel Silver) captured bronze in the all around, bronze on floor, a fourth place finish on bars and seventh on vault.
Leah Baierl (Silver) received bronze on beam.
Shylee Asher grabbed silver on bars, ninth on vault and all around.
Claudia Gracia- Barahona placed fifth on vault.
Breann Motquin and Brody May tied for ninth on vault.
Sophia Sternard (Level 4) placed fifth on beam and tenth on vault.
Lauren Pratt (Level 2) won silver on the balance beam, fourth in the all around, fifth on bars and sixth on floor.
Stevie Routhieaux earned silver on the floor, fifth on vault, sixth in the all around.
Abi Tooley won a bronze medal on bars.
Madison Voight grabbed eighth on vault.
Layla Stai earned tenth on vault.
Alexa Jimenez-Seyfer placed ninth on floor.
Eliana Kerscher placed ninth on vault.
Ella Tarkowski earned ninth on floor.

The Team is coached by Nikki Pollman, Amy Gamble, Gerritt DeJonge, Heather Haase, Mikki Rankin, Libby Pieczynski and Erin Hemminger.

The Striver Team will be sending 23 National qualifying gymnasts to the 2019 YMCA Gymnastic Nationals in Wisconsin Dells this June.
