The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team will take on Plymouth tonight in the WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinals. The third seeded Spartans captured a regional championship with wins over Two Rivers, Sheboygan Falls and Wrightstown. The fourth seeded Panthers had regional wins over Valders, West De Pere and an upset of top seeded Little Chute. Tonight’s sectional semifinal match will be played at Wrightstown and begins at 7. The winner advances to Saturday’s sectional finals at Wrightstown and will take on either Berlin or Green Bay Notre Dame.
The Oconto volleyball team is taking on Weyauwega-Fremont in a WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal. The top seeded Blue Devils swept Menomonie Indian, Bonduel and Shiocton on their way to a regional title. The second seeded Indians beat Crivitz, Peshtigo and Menasha Saint Mary Central in regionals. Tonight’s Division 3 sectional semifinal match is being held at Gillett and begins at 7. The winner advances to Saturday’s sectional final at Marathon and will go up against either Spencer or Stevens Point Pacelli.
