LeMieux Wins Wrestling Championship

Tiani LeMieux, an 8th grader at TJ Walker Middle School in Sturgeon Bay, won her second State Title in three years at the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation Kids Folkstyle State Championships at the Alliant Center in Madison. While competing for X-Factor Club Elite Wrestling, she won all four matches by pin in times of :49 :39 :13 and :33 seconds. LeMieux is Door County’s first Native American female wrestling state champion and has qualified for the USA high school freestyle team event in Las Vegas.
