Legion Baseball Meeting Scheduled for Sunday

There will be a new American Legion Baseball team calling Memorial Field its home this summer.  The Ahnapee Traiblazers now have the Sturgeon Bay charter and they have an organizational meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd at Southern Door High School.  Sam Andre is the new field manager for the Trailblazers…

Andre says that the Ahnapee Legion team is open to players from Sturgeon Bay, Southern Door and Algoma High Schools and coaches Matt Propsom, Dave Neinas and Mike Lucas are all involved with the new program.  The Trailblazers will play their home games at Memorial Field.  Andre says that there schedule includes teams from the Fox River Valley East Division and also tournaments at Kewaunee County and Antigo.  As far as Sunday’s 5:00 meeting, it’s open to all players interested in playing baseball this summer…

Sunday’s meeting will be held at the Southern Door High School cafeteria and will also include discussion of the Babe Ruth program.  For more information contact Sam Andre at 495-9393
