82 year old Myra Tlachac was honored as the Luxemburg-Casco Varsity Basketball Club’s “Fan of the Year,” prior to Monday night’s game against Southern Door. Tlachac’s loyalty dates back to her teens when she was an avid supporter of the Luxemburg Blue Jays. When Luxemburg and Casco merged in 1968, she supported the newly formed Luxemburg-Casco Spartans. Through the years Tlachac has watched her siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren compete. She tries to attend as many games as possible, home and away, and has followed LC all over the state. Tlachac was presented with an autographed ball by the team in honor of her more than 60 years of support.
