Lautenbach, McCambridge, Eliyha Win Gymnastics Gold

The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastics team won five national titles, 19 individual top ten medals and a top ten team trophy at the 2017 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships held in Savannah, Georgia.  National medals were awarded to the top 8 gymnasts in each level and event.  Ten of 40 Strivers that qualified for nationals competed in Savannah.

Reetika Jandu (Level 6)–  Vault (5th) Bars (5th) All Around (5th) Floor (7th)
Tiani LeMieux (Level 3)–  Bars (4th) Floor (8th)
The Level 6 team placed 10th– team members are Alexis Hemminger, Maddie/Izzy/Mallory Barker, Eliyha, McCambridge and Jandu.

The Strivers, celebrating over 25 years of competitive gymnastics, are coached by Nikki Pollman, Amy Gamble, Gerritt DeJonge, Mikki Rankin, Heather Haese, Erin Hemminger and Hillary Sheppard.
The 2018 Nationals are scheduled for Toledo, Ohio.
