Kewaunee County beat Sturgeon Bay 13-4 in an American Legion baseball game at Memorial Field on Tuesday. The Lakers took a 5-1 lead to the bottom of the 3rd inning before the Bays closed the gap to 5-4 after RBI hits from Riley Cordier and David Van Dreese. But Kewaunee County answered with 4 runs on 4 hits in the top of the 4th to regain the momentum and go on to the win. Logan Brusky went the distance for the win while Sam Kohnle had 4 hits and 4 RBI’s. Caleb Willems had 3 hits, Dan Dorner drove in three and Cole Kirchman singled twice. Willems and Kyle Routhieaux scored 3 runs each for the Lakers. Van Dreese, Cordier and Lucas Stephenson had 2 hits while Mike Larsen walked 3 times and scored twice for Sturgeon Bay. Riley Cordier started and took the loss while Casey Giesseman pitched in relief. Kewaunee County improves to (9-2) with Sturgeon Bay dropping to (6-3).
