Koss Leads Wolves Past Eagles

Sam Koss rushed for a school record 388 yards as Algoma beat Southern Door 49-28 on Friday Night.  The Eagles held a 14-7 at the end of the first quarter but the Wolves led 21-14 at the half and pulled away late in the third.  Koss broke Todd Kirchman’s single game record of 306 yards (1978) on only 23 carries and had rushing touchdowns of 3, 4, 70 and 78 yards.  Ben Sealey and Hunter Prokash added rushing scores and Eliot Prokash caught a td pass for the second straight game.  Mitchel Neubauer threw TD passes to Mitchell Gerend and Austin Rohe while Neubauer and Nolan Wagner had 1 yard touchdown runs for Southern Door.

Siren beat Sevastopol 78-24 in a 8-Player game at DC Everest on Friday afternoon.  Drew Tanck had three rushing touchdowns and caught a Quinn Schram TD pass for another score but the Pioneers were shutout in the 2nd half and suffered their first loss of the season.
