Kolberg scored twice in the top of the tenth to beat Sister Bay in the Door County League’s playoff championship Sunday, 6-4. After scoring once in the top of the ninth to tie the game at four, the Braves loaded the bases on a walk, bunt single and fielders choice in the tenth. They then scratched out two runs to win both the Roland “Fritz” Woldt Trophy and the Jeff DeJardine Trophy.
Down 3-0, Sister Bay scored four times in the eighth before Kolberg’s late heroics. Tucker Emerson had a two-run single for Sister Bay and Nick Bastian also drove in a run. Jeff Sperber homered for Kolberg. Chris Wery picked up the win in relief and Justin Hartel took the loss.
