Gibraltar’s Nick Kita is spending some of his summer playing for the Wisconsin Under 17 All-Stars. Kita has been playing second base, third base and shortstop for the Wisconsin All-Stars, who are 2 and 1 at the 2013 Decker Sports College World Series Tournament being held in Omaha, Nebraska. In the first three games, Kita was 3-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBI. In eight games with the Wisconsin All-Stars this summer, Kita is hitting .520 with a home run, two doubles, eight RBI and five runs scored.
The Wisconsin Under 17 All-Stars will play a team from Edmond, Oklahoma at 7 PM Friday and a squad from Benton, Arkansas at 12 PM Saturday. The top team in the pool will be playing in the championship bracket on Saturday evening and Sunday.
