The Kewaunee girls beat Denmark, 50-41 Saturday night in a Division 3 regional final. Down nine late in second quarter, Kewaunee cut the deficit to three on a pair of Jill Kleiman three pointers, including one from half court to close the first half. Kewaunee used that momentum to outscore Denmark, 16-2 in the third. Kleiman led Kewaunee with a game-high 18 points and Nicole Geier added 10. Kewaunee (20-4) will take on Brillion (23-1) in the sectional semifinals Thursday night. That game will begin at 7 at Manitowoc Lincoln. Brillion advanced to sectionals by beating Wrightstown Saturday night, 48-34.
The Algoma girls beat Oconto, 59-27 in a Division 4 regional final. Algoma (23-1) will take on Oshkosh Lourdes (23-1) Thursday night in the sectional semifinals. That game will be played at Seymour and will begin at 7. Lourdes advanced to the sectional semifinals by beating Bonduel Saturday night, 52-47.
