It’s business as usual for the Kewaunee girls basketball team as they play in their third straight State Championship game at 2:30 Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay. The defending champion Storm take on East Troy for the WIAA Division 3 State Championship. Kewaunee (26-1) beat Lodi 40-27 on Friday while East Troy (26-1) beat defending Division 4 champion Neillsville, 68-56 snapping the Warriors 54-game winning streak. East Troy made 11 of 24 three pointers in their semi-final win and were lead in scoring by Briana Gaspervich with 25 points and Rachel Atchison with 19 points. In their victory overall Lodi, the Storm were led by Kelsey Stangel (17 points) and Alex Richard (14 points). Kewaunee vs East Troy will follow the Algoma vs Colfax game.
