The Kewaunee County American Legion baseball team won their first game at the AA State Tournament in Merrill Wednesday as they beat Waterford, 5-1. Winning pitcher Bryce Tekulve allowed a run in five and two-thirds innings and Noah Lindsley finished the contest for the Lakers. Mason Isenberg had three hits and drove in three runs as Kewaunee County scored all five of their runs in the first two innings. Will Derenne added a single for Kewaunee County, who will take on Antigo at 4 PM Thursday on 93.9 FM WDOR and wdor.com.
