K/D Salmon Tournament Begins Saturday

The 32nd Annual Kewaunee Door County Salmon Tournament begins Saturday with the 9-day tournament wrapping up on July 29th.  Kevin Naze is one of the co-directors of the tournament, and he says that this tournament is unlike most other big fish tournaments….[audio:http://wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/kevin1.mp3|titles=Kevin Naze- Luck of the draw]Last years winning fish was over 32 pounds and Naze said the tournament has never had back-to-back thirty pound winners.  A couple of the key rules of the tournament are that you have to have a ticket before you go fishing and that you must have a witness to your catch.  Does that mean it’s OK to fish alone?[audio:http://wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/kevin2.mp3|titles=Kevin Naze- solo OK]The winner will take home a prize package that includes $10,000 cash.  Tickets are $25 for the entire tournament or $13 per day and are available in Kewaunee, Algoma, Washington Island, Baileys Harbor and at Howie’s Tackle and the Greystone Castle in Sturgeon Bay.
