Sturgeon Bay beat NEW Lutheran, 14-4, in a Packerland Conference baseball game at Memorial Field on Thursday. The Clippers led 3-2 after the first inning and then scored six runs on six hits in the second inning to take control. Ryan Jacobson hit three doubles and finished with five RBI’s while Max Bordeau and Trent Ehlers had two hits and doubled to lead Sturgeon Bay. Tanner DeGrave drove in the game ending run with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jake Schneider fired a three hitter with nine strikeouts in the win. Eric Voskamp homered and Samuel Meerstein doubled for the Blazers. Sturgeon Bay will need to win at Gibraltar on Friday to share the league title with Peshtigo.
