Southern Door rallied from a slow start and beat Sturgeon Bay, 4-1, in a Packerland Conference baseball game at Memorial Field on Tuesday. The Eagles (4-1) trailed 1-0 but scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning as Trevor Hawkey went the distance on a five hitter with eight strikeouts in his first career start. Derik LeCaptain started the winning rally with a one out single and Beau Schartner walked to set the table for the top of the order as Michael Larsen and Mitchell Gerend drove in runs. LeCaptain drove in Tyler Malcore with a games final run in the sixth inning. The Clippers went scoreless in the final three innings as they left six runners stranded. LeCaptain, Malcore and Gerend all had two hits for Southern Door while Jake Moeller had two hits and drove in a run for Sturgeon Bay.

Southern Door won both the boys and girls triangular at Gibraltar as Jared Counard won both the 100 and 200 meter dash for the Eagles. Tyler Kropuenske (shot put, discus) and Aleah Bauldry (100, 200) won multiple events for Gibraltar.
